Fundacja Alberta Schweitzera is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2017 by its German mother organization Albert Schweitzer Foundation whose mission it is to abolish factory farming, reduce the production and consumption of animal products, and spread the vegan lifestyle.

In Poland our foundation focuses on working with and against the food industry to raise animal welfare standards, currently specifically for laying hens and chickens raised for meat production. Building on the experience and expertise from our mother organization and thanks to the collaboration with other organizations, we have been able to secure several public commitments from food companies to abolish the use of caged eggs and have convinced retail and wholesale companies to end the sale of live carps. We also run the platform Tydzien na Weganie to inspire and support consumers to switch to a more plant-based life-style.

Fundacja Alberta Schweitzera works in alignment with the strategy that our mother organization sets (see the German website here – or the less comprehensive one in English here). As the teams in Germany and Poland cooperate on a regular basis and we also collaborate with animal protection organizations from around the world, working with us has an international touch, thus also requiring very good English skills. The recruitment processes are fully conducted in English.

Non-profit and professional work are not mutually exclusive. We work like well-organized companies in the business world with a strategic plan and clearly defined goals. This also includes the continuous training of our employees. We operate under a modern approach with the 35-hour work week for full-time positions, flexible working hours as well as home and remote office options.

Our team in Warsaw is active in four areas:

  • Management and administration
  • Corporate outreach
  • Communication
  • Campaigns

We are passionate about creating change for so-called farmed animals in our society – will you come join our team to increase our impact even more?

We cannot consider unsolicited applications. We currently offer the following positions:
